I used to be a bit of a heavier set guy. As I got into my late 20s and early 30s a combination of long work hours, lack of exercise, and poor diet had really taken a toll on my health. At the end of day, I knew that what I lacked was motivation. I had hit a low point, and I desperately needed to get out of my funk.
On a Friday night after dinner, my wife Julia came to me with an idea. “Look,’ she said, “all I want is for you to be happy and healthy. When you were younger you wanted to be fit, you pushed for it all the time. I can’t help but think that if you had something to work toward you might be a bit more dedicated.”
