Quietly, Lisa crept along the rickety causeway above the abandoned production hall. The economic crash had done little for the town as a whole, but for urban explorers it was an absolute marvel, opening up almost all of the industrial park for intrepid and curious wanderers like herself. Twenty years back, this hall would have been bustling with activity around the clock, but today, after two decades of downsizing and flight of the inhabitants to the larger cities the cavernous vault lay abandoned, eagerly awaiting the attention of meanderers.
The last of the industries to shut down, a couple of months ago now, was on a choke point of sorts, and had been the final obstacle to really opening up the older parts of the industrial park to exploration, many of them buildings where nobody had set foot in fifteen years, if not more.
