The battle was lost. Their general needed to flee with however many troops he had standing back behind the mountains. Back to safety. No one dared to speak up and ask what happened. How did their mighty general lose the battle they have been planning for months? No one asked and he didn’t give any answers, stomping through the camp, all eyes on him. His anger was visible, his wrinkles on his forehead not hidden by the blood splattered all over his face.
No one dared to cross his path or try to stop him as he entered a small colorful tent that was meant for concubines. The confusion started to simmer in the eyes of his people as he dragged her outside by the hair, whimpers being heard by everyone as he dragged her to the tent hidden in the trees. That was the furthest away from the battlefield and camp itself. That tent was for the general and the general’s eyes only. Until now. Dragging her in, no man would know what happens besides those tent walls.
Word spread around fast. Rumors of their general planning to kill her. No one would bat an eye at it. She was his property and no one would ask where she went, In their eyes, nothing good was going to happen.
Holding her by her hair, with heavy steps they walked in the tent. Letting go of his grasp once they were in, he stepped away looking at her as she pulled a few strands of hair away from her face, not turning around to look at him. The general stopped moving, just looking at her, heavy breathing in his chest.
“Well general…”
Taking a deep breath in as she spoke, his entire body tensed. She was slow as she methodically tucked the loose strands behind her ears, tightening the red ribbon in her hair as well.
“That was quite the entry.” She spoke softly as she got up, tidying her dress.
“I would have hoped for some dramatic screams as I did that…” The general jokes around, a slight shiver in his voice as he saw no amusement in her glare.
“Oh no… dear general,” she smiled as she stared him down, eyes cold. “Now kneel.” Her voice turned to steel as his legs buckled under him and he fell to his knees.
“I tried to…” He started whispering.
“No dear general. You tried to hear me scream.” She whispered smirking, getting closer to him slowly, his breathing turning faster as he tried to conceal it, his eyes never parting ways from hers.
“You are a sneaky one.” She whispered, getting close to him, wiping the blood from his face.
Closing his eyes at the warm touch, he allowed himself to exhale all the stress off from his shoulders. So gentle and warm.
“But you are the one that is going to scream.”
Grabbing him by the hair, pulling his head backward as he gasped, heavy breathing, she knew why he came there. The blood on his face, him being alone from his people, the camp too quiet. They lost and he came to her to be her puppy once more. Losing his men, losing his fight, he came to her and that made her not be able to contain her smirk, and he saw it.
Even if he was looking at her through his lashes, he didn’t miss that devilish smirk that always made his heart jump. He wanted her, but he knew he had to wait. Letting go of his hair, she stepped backward watching him.
“Take it off general.” She motioned towards his suit of armor as she laid down on the rugs and furs that were meant to keep the cold away.
He knew she was going to mock him for how fast and clumsy he took his armor off, but he just wanted to go to her, feel her skin on his.
“Sit.”
“H-here?” He asked unsure, looking around.
She was taking her spot like a queen on the furs, leaving him on just a rug that could as well just be on the ground itself. A short nod from her and he was back onto his knees, waiting for her as she slightly tilted her head, biting her lips. Those lips he craved for. Catching with the corner of his eyes a slight movement, he saw her fingers brushing off the dress away from her leg, letting him see that porcelain smooth skin that was hidden under. She was taunting him, moving her long delicate fingers on her thigh up, and then on her dress.
“Why are you here general?” She asked with her honeyed voice, so innocent and sweet, and yet it made him twitch, feeling himself getting wet for her.
“You know what I want…” he breathed out the words as she smiled.
“Do you want me to take care of you general?” She smirked as she moved to the edge of the furs, a few breaths away.
“Yes…”

Heather felt like the world was crumbling on top of her and she couldn’t breathe. She was so close, she could feel her in her arms. It’s been weeks since she left Heina and with it, two pieces of her heart. She couldn’t get to both of them for now, but one of them came for her. Naava risked it all just to be with her for one night, and as much as Heather was upset and concerned over it, she wouldn’t have turned her back away. The temptation of Naava being in her arms again was stronger than her ration.
She knew it was all true once she got close to the door of the inn and the sweet smell that always made her think of her. Knocking once at the door, not even managing to do it a second time, the door opened wide, Naava in front of it.
