She shivered in the cold November air, but it wasn’t just the chill that dimpled her flesh and shortened her breath… it was the sheer insanity of her choice. She stalled for what seemed like forever, one leg hanging out of the driver side of her car, the option to get right back in and drive home tugging at the corner of her mind. The phone chiming in her hand nearly made her jump, as he always seemed to send these little messages of his in time with the doubts she had. Thumbing across the screen she gulped as the list of instructions followed, before pushing herself up out of the car and shutting it behind her.
