Some context: I (19f) met my friend (20f) in college and we lived together for a year. We didn’t get super close but could live well together. She ended moving out to live with her boyfriend (20m) of one year.
I’m now living in an apartment with three other girls I barely know, it gets lonely but I have other friends and I have a lot of work this year.
One night I get a text from Tyler (my friends bf). I wouldn’t say we were the closest of friends, but being so early in the year, I’m his closest friend here by default. I open the text around 10pm and it says
“Hey, idk what to do, I just found out I was cheated on. I know we’re not super close but is there anyway I could come over to not be alone. I know you experienced this and I need to be anywhere but here.”
Me being me, I say of course. Within 5 minutes, Tyler texts that he’s here. I quietly let him in and we rush to my room. It’s kinda fun tiptoeing in my own house. I sit on my bed and he sits on my desk chair. You can tell he looks a little exhausted.
