*He’d been stalking her for weeks, learning why she was roaming the Earth instead of home in the Heavenly City. Her russet hair was ragged out of its normal ponytail with the effort of trying to fight him off. He’d managed to corner her in an alleyway, grungy and dingy, stale with the scent of his kind mixed with human filth. Her previously ivory dress was now caked in dirt from the brick wall he’d slammed her against to gain the element of surprise, The taste of her energy had nearly overtaken him in desperate need to claim, to own, to break. Lilac and innocence filled the air as she’d fought for her freedom, but it was already too late.*
Pulling out chains of silver and angel blood, he managed to claim her wrists before she realized she’d lost. Glaring at him with steel-grey eyes, they shone with defiance and disgust. Spitting at his face, she snarled.
“You vile creature, release me at once and return to the slums of Hell where you belong!”” She demanded, anger lacing her words like poison daggers. He smirked in her face, at the slightly iridescent skin that he wanted to lick and turn different colors.
