I am a proud single mother who’s had a career in photography that spans over a decade. I also tend to have an incredibly high sex drive which often leads to interesting decisions. I entangled with a client who owned and operated a naturist resort in the state. With my background in covering protests and live events, he invited me to stay and document the lifestyle. A 4-month residency was a stretch but it was too absurd for me (at the time) to pass on the opportunity.
Since I was ignorant about the lifestyle, I had a culture shock of sorts when it turned out to be a family friendly environment with strict guidelines regarding proper conduct and etiquette. I began recording interviews and taking photographs in my first week and didn’t really come out of my shell until I was invited to a cookout. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience and it didn’t take long for me to be comfortable in my skin.
