We both met online and I was bored and in a writing mood.. considering we’ll probably never meet, this is the closest we’ll get lol.
It was a snowy winter night. Our street was colored a dark navy blue shade. The street lights fluttered on as the sky grew darker in color. The deep vibrant yellow from the lights illuminate the street creating a cozy contrast.
We reach the door to our home, both our coats covered in flurries of delicate white snow. Our faces are numb and tinted a slight pinkish color, my nose especially. You open the door and I turn on the light in the entrance area. We each let out a sigh of relief making it back home from our outing. We each take our coats off and hang them up as the snow starts to melt into them making them a bit damp. To be sheltered inside walls and away from the gusts of powdery white snow-wind makes us instantly feel warm and saved from the bitter weather outside. We take off our shoes, letting the dawgs out. And leave them neatly in the entrance area as they form a small puddle of water also from melting snow. I waltz over to the couch and flop face down into it, burying my face in the cushions. You smile slightly at the display of my exhaustion before heading into the kitchen. You turn the burner on and start to brew some sa(black tea.) You watch it come to a boil, the dark liquid bubbling in the pot before you. You let it do its thing for a while before adding in a pure white liquid that disturbs the darkness of the black tea, otherwise known as milk. The two mix together creating a creamy tan color. You prepare two mugs and pour your concoction through a strainer.
