?The next time the force connected Rey and Kylo Ren, Rey was just about to lower herself into a hot pool, deep under the mountains of Ach-To. It was lit by thousands of glow worms hanging from the ceiling. Her surroundings went quiet suddenly and Rey panicked when she saw Kylo Ren or Ben…she hadn’t decided who he really was yet, she gasped, which of course drew his attention to their reconnection.
He was in the shower. He had been washing his long black hair, his head and shoulders protruded from a translucent glass enclosure that blurred his silhouette from the waist down. And he was staring at Rey as she was staring at him. She didn’t rush to cover herself with her hands or try to break the connection, she would never give him the satisfaction. She wanted him to break, to say he was Ben Solo, to break and sob and regret that he had killed Han, his own father. Rey wanted him. She wanted him to turn on Snoke, to join her in the light. And so she did something unthinkable. Rey tossed her unbound hair over her shoulder, conscious that until now it had been obscuring her chest and lowered herself into the hot pool until her feet touched the bottom. Kylo or Ben, whoever he was, hadn’t moved. The water was pouring down onto his chest and splashing along his abdomen, Rey followed the course of the water with her eyes and was inspired.
