“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.”
“Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.”
The Lord has commanded me to look after my flock, to guard and guide their souls so that they may one day partake in the joys of eternal salvation. It is too big a burden for some to bear, but through the strength of our Savior I’m able to carry out my duty, no matter how challenging at times. For it is God’s will that I carry their burden and help them cleanse their hearts. All these years I’ve been committed to serving my congregation with humility and compassion, being a source of comfort and understanding, a safe place for those who feel lost. I encourage my children to be honest about their struggles, to not judge lest they be judged, to forgive how they want to be forgiven. I welcome them all with open arms, filled with gratitude for the trust they have placed in me.
