“Summer had finally come again. For Alex, that meant another season at the Renaissance Festival. She couldn’t really complain, it was steady work, good money for a summer job, and she was able to get fresh air. She also got to see Jake for lunch most days, meeting at the lake near the fair. She and Jake met a few weeks ago at work, and they really hit it off. They could tell each other anything, and he made her laugh.
