It was the summer between my junior and senior year of high school. My parents told me that if I worked hard they would match what I earned so that I could buy my first car. I checked on several summer jobs and finally decided that I could make the most money by doing yard work in our part of town. I went door to door and lined up several yards that I could mow and do other work on, on a weekly basis. I would still have some time to do fun things.
My name is Rick. I just turned seventeen. I’m 5’10” and weigh 155 pounds. I’m on the school track team so I stay in good shape. I have fairly long curly blond hair. My grades are good enough that I stay on the team but will never make the honor roll. I get along OK with my parents. We live in an upper middle class neighborhood on the edge of the city.
