“You have been hired.” Julie let out a yelp and started dancing on the spot. It was one of the few perks of living alone that she could do stupid or crazy stuff whenever, without thinking whether it would bother anyone.
She was practically shaking before she opened the email. After so many rejections and living off cheap noodles and an allowance, she was just a few rejections away from backing down and move back home to the country. But the email was positive, and the more she read about the job, the happier she got. It wasn’t too good to be true but it was nearly in that realm. But for Julie, it was a life-line, and she didn’t want to throw it away.
The only problem was the 12-hour shift, but it was stipulated that plenty of breaks were given to keep the employees refreshed. It was a startup with a small team, so Julie didn’t think much of it and start getting ready for tomorrow.
