This is story is about Aisha. I’d met her early January, on an evening which was going pretty downhill. Pretty and pensive, Aisha was smoking, a cigarette after cigarette.

It’s a story about knowing strangers, it’s a story about complexity in lives of people whom we pass by all the time, never to ask them how they are doing.

Well, if it sounds unsexy, it isn’t. Yes, it doesn’t start with the fun and light notes like [An Evening with the Girls](https://indiankink.substack.com/p/an-evening-with-the-girls-1); but there’s lots of sex. And even if it technically was a one-night stand, there’s a breadth of emotions and desires involved. Lust and love are potent emotions, especially if they aren’t for the same person.

This is a story about Arunika. It’s an Indian sex story, written in a tone that’s commensurate with the Desi society.

I met Arunika for the first time in college, at 18. We shared a few classes, we never gotten around being ‘friends’. All I knew about her back then was that she was an easy lay. After college, we were in touch on and off, until we were 27. That’s when there were sparks. I had the time and we met for a trip for a hill station, McLeodganj. It was a trip full of sex, cigarettes, weed and alcohol.

In the Delhi hotel that we checked in the night before our flight was only a small slice of all the pleasures that Arunika will give me through out the trip.
