This is something that popped in my head after reading a RP posted on DPP and I felt I had to write it down, to get this idea out of my head. I picture this as a three part story so if I see people want more I will write the rest. My writing is not great but I want to write more to improve.

I love to explore and discover new ingredients for medical salves and potions. I had a small shop where I grow and sell all sorts. I tend to keep my ear out for rumors and legends of undiscovered plants and recently one piqued my curiosity.
One night at the local tavern I overheard a group of mercenaries they had a run in with a weird plant monster that attacked them with tentacles and a weird numbing mist. I inquired further, but they told me that they were pretty sure they killed it and offered me a piece of it for some gold. I obliged, purchased the piece of the tentacle and got the info of where they were attacked. I ran home and did some tests.
