Starlight filters down on the small playground on the hill – a favourite retreat for Victor and Aster. It was surrounded by trees, nestled perfectly away in a nook in the city that very few people ever thought to look within. However, being atop the hill as it was it had an excellent view of the city stretching out below it. Pinpricks of light illuminating each building in the distance. This solitude suited the couple perfectly, for their plans required it.
“Come on slowpoke, the longer it takes us to get there the less time we have for our game!” Cried Victor, looking back at their diminutive partner.
Their game is simple. Dares. First to back out takes the forfeit, a full minute spent entirely at the winner’s mercy. Nothing off-limits.
Aster huffs as she looks back at Victor, laughing softly. “Shut up, I’ve got shorter legs than you! You’re cheating!” She brushes a strand of ginger hair out of her face and keeps climbing the hill behind her partner.
