Alyssa was not usually a nervous flyer, but she had butterflies in her stomach anticipating this one. That morning she woke up early and after packing she did her makeup, curled her hair, and wore a dark skirt with tights and a baggy hoodie. She was still half an hour out from when she needed to leave so she spent that time double and triple checking everything she could. After an uneventful taxi ride she got out with her luggage and carry-on, slowly went through customs without a hitch, and finally made it here, to the seating by the gate. With 20 minutes to kill, she sat down cross legged and tried her best to focus on her book, killing only 2 chapters before her and the rest of the passengers were called down to board.
