I have always wanted a romantic getaway to some secluded cabin, deep in the snowy woods. Here’s my adaptation of how I’d love it to go.
It was a 3 hr ride north for Amy and I. We’ve been anticipating this cabin trip for weeks. It’s snowing heavily, those big flakes that make the precipitation so pretty. Our 4×4 vehicle slowly ascending the mountain, cautiously and methodically. The mood is flirty but anxious as the elements make the final destination that much more epic.
Finally, we arrive at the cabin. We unpack the trunk, throw our belongings in the TV room and gaze at our living quarters, where we’ll be staying, for the next few days. Amy flops on a huge sectional as I flip on the lights and stare at her gorgeous figure while she smiles from the comfy couch. We explore the cabin, discover the hot tub on the attached deck and I immediately flip the switch to heat it up.
