Kevin was livid. He sat across from his wife at the dining table, his hands clenching and unclenching as if trying to squeeze something dry. His face was flushed, his eyes blazing and he spoke in a harsh and angry tone. His wife looked downcast and scared.
“So he kicked you to the curb didn’t he?” he sneered.
“No…no,” his wife, Jenny replied timidly, “I left him and came back to you.”
“Bullshit!” Kevin spitted out. “If he didn’t kick you out you wouldn’t be here. You have the nerve to walk in and think you can tell me some lies to soften me and I will take you back like a sentimental fool!”
