Mina lived on the other side of the world. That was the first obstacle. She was only in town for a few months for work and she wasn’t interested in a fling that would just have to end.
But we both knew it was more than a fling. We had undeniable chemistry.
After our first date, she insisted she wasn’t even my type.
“You seem like someone who wants an obedient, mild-mannered girl who will just fawn over you. Not a career-focused woman with a short temper,” she said.
I told her that wasn’t my type at all.
After our second date, she told me that she’d had a good time and enjoyed my company.
“But I think you’ll agree that things have run their course,” she added.
I didn’t agree at all.
