There really wasn’t anything else to say. He slammed his hand down on the button to kill the engines. It had no effect because his ship was already caught in the tractor beam and had been slowly moving backwards anyway. He had never really stood a chance against the monsterous machine that was currently pulling him closer and closer to the cargo bay door which had rapidly appeared like a gaping black hole in the side of the larger ship.
He had never seen anything like it. He was traveling in the quadrant that he had never visited before. But he had done his research and nothing he read had prepared him for this. He had no idea what to expect. Getting out of tight spots was his specialty, which is why he had been hired for this job, but this had so many unknowns. He sighed heavily and went to the hatch. No reason to make them come looking for him.
