I was traveling for work, to a big seminar where we were going to take a personality test and learn how to work with other departments in the company to reach our larger corporate-wide goals. It was going to be a three day snoozefest, lecture upon lecture, a few written tests for personality determination, and a workshop where we worked on shared projects with representatives from each of our sister departments. I normally hate traveling for work, and this trip was going to be no exception. The whole seminar was going to take place off site of any company office, at a big Holiday Inn. The seminar was close enough that I was able to rent a car and drive, which meant I got to the Holiday Inn a little earlier than necessary. Even so, there was a line at check in. I noticed a pretty redhead in the check in line next to mine, and upon further inspection saw that she was a few inches shorter than me, even with heels, with a nice curvy body and pale white skin. She also had a badge with our corporate logo clipped to her laptop case, clearly marking her as one of the attendees of our corporate conference. She noticed me looking at her badge and flashed me a big smile and a hello.

The first time I officially met Natalie was 10 years after the incident that is the conclusion of this story. She was one of many new employees that I was attending training with. She was loud, outspoken, outgoing, always smiling and laughing. Something about her seemed familiar, and at one point in the class we both acknowledged that we seemed to know each other from somewhere. About ten seconds after I realized that I had seen her a party in college she said, “You’ve probably seen my boobs.” Yep, I had, perky B-cups if I remembered correctly. She had flashed a party a few years ago, and I was one of the lucky attendees who happened to be looking in her direction at the time. At the time I was likely pretty buzzed and lucky to have even remembered. We laughed about it and became fast friends.
