Late again. The car didn’t budge, something I was only used to in icy winters, not the hottest summer. I was barging through the maze-like corridors. The indistinct chatter guided me as it got louder and louder. Though I was a couple years older than them, being around college students makes you feel much younger. It is also damn fun feeling like Moses, parting the sea of people as you appear. Beaming smiles coming from most of them also cures many ailments of the heart.
I threw my notes on my desk and plopped down, catching my breath as everyone took their place. Attendance was pretty low, and many of the appearing wore sunglasses. Last night’s ball took their toll on them. I tried to keep a low volume; based on my experience, hangovers and classes don’t match too well. One didn’t care though. A pair of gleaming eyes sat in front, the middle of the second row, an avid fan she seemed to be. Her hair ran through her fingers, resting her head on her hand, with a coy smile. The royal blue summer dress complimented her blood red lips, deeply cut, almost provocatively. As much as I tried to look constantly around the class, my eyes kept wandering back to her. There was something magnetic about her look. She must have noticed, her white teeth gleamed at me every time.
