This is one of our first spin off short stories based on a minor character from one of our books, we hope you enjoy it….
Hannah pulled up outside her block of flats, her heart was racing. She grabbed her bag off of the passenger seat, opened the door, stepped out and slammed it shut. Locking the car she charged inside, through the small lobby without checking the mailbox and hammered the button for the elevator. She was in no mood to wait now, having already waited another two agonising hours after they had left while the remaining customers drank, ate and laughed. She had quickly tidied up then shouted a goodbye to her boss before racing away in her car. She had considered stopping in a layby on the way but had been put off by the number of cars she had seen in it. She had been curious why there were so many there at well past midnight but dismissed it quickly.
