“Respect is the true currency of your tribe. Gold, weapons and even strength of arms is just a means of acquiring that respect. “
Gunrid reminded herself of the months old lesson as she pushed into the warchief’s tent, dragging the bleeding short tusk behind her.
“I won’t babysit your son again.” She growled as she shoved the young orc at a pile of furs. “Keep him away from me and my prey.” She demanded as she strode up to the warchief and stared into his unblinking eyes.
“You do as ordered, I order you to-” The warchief sneered.
“No!” Gunrid cut him off angrily. “I kill and I win.” She said proudly, daring the warchief to deny her words. “I won’t drag your short tusk back again.” She growled and held eye contact with the massive warchief until the much larger male looked away. “I go home now.” She growled as she strode past the pile of spoils of the last battle and paused a moment. “First rights?” She asked without looking back at the chief.
“Got mine.” The short grunt came back.
Gunrid shoved her hand into the pile and drew out a seemingly random assortment of gold and jewelry, throwing it into her sheep skin bag before she strode out of the tent without the customary growling acknowledgement of leadership her chief was owed.

The walk to her own tent on the mountainside was long and winding, but it gave her time to think. She had done alright, good insults but still respecting the first rights of the warchief so he shouldn’t come for her head.
Gunrid fished around in her bag and found the small ring she had spotted in the loot pile. It was silvery with a white pearl inlaid, too simple for her anyone in her tribe to worry about it, and too small for any of them to wear. Gunrid studied it as she made her way the last of the path to her secluded tent. She stowed the ring in between her breasts and pushed into the darkened interior of the tent.
It took a moment for her eyes to adjust to the darkness and by the time they did Leila was already approaching her on long slender legs. Gunrid threw her strong arms around the elf and lifted her up, throwing her over her shoulder. “More spoils of war.” Gunrid declared and strode further into the tent with Leila squirming on her shoulder. She caressed Leila’s soft legs as she marched over to the fur bed and tossed the elf into it. She was a stunning beauty, long, slender and with silky maroon skin.
Leila lay on the furs with her long dark ponytail resting besides her and looked up at Gunrid expectantly. Gunrid wasn’t one to keep her waiting and quickly fished the small steel key out of her belt and leaned down over Leila who turned her head obediently. Gunrid inserted the key and undid the lock on the half face mask. “There we go.” Gunrid smiled with tusks showing as she gently removed the mask that had kept Leila gagged and protected while Gunrid was away. “Sorry I was gone so long.” She apologized as she watched Leila opening and closing her little mouth to get the blood flowing properly again. “It drew out because I had to protect the chief’s son so I couldn’t move as quickly as-“
Leila’s arms moving up and curling around Gunrids neck quieted her voice. “I’m just glad you’re safe.” Leila smiled and Gunrid pulled her up into a tight hug.

The pearl shun like a small snowglobe on Leila’s finger as the two shared the fruits pie Leila had baked while Gunrid was away. It was a little stale on account of Gunrid’s late homecoming but it did the elf good to get some solid food in her stomach after almost 2 weeks of only being able to drink soup due to the mask.
“I should go on my own next raid.” Gunrid said, her arm around Leila’ waist. “I’m gonna try to find a smith of some repute to make a second key, in return for sparing him.” She smiled. “I don’t like the thought of you unable to speak or eat properly for so long.”
“I would like that.” Leila smiled up to the orc and planted a soft kiss on one of her tusks. “But it’s worth it to be able to stay here.”
“I hope they treated you right.” Gunrid said as she studied Leila’s body for marks or bruises.
“Don’t worry, as long as I wear that thing no one dares lay a hand on the great defiler’s slave.” Leila smirked and motioned towards where the mask lay discarded.
“Well… you’ve never accused an orc of being smart.” Gunrid smiled at their private jest as Leila crawled into her lap.
“Of course I have, if I hadn’t I wouldn’t be teaching you elvish or politics.” Leila smiled and made herself comfortable against Gunrid’s firm chest.
“It not like I’m making lot of progress.” Gunrid tried in her best elvish, almost getting a headache from trying to find and form the elegant words.
“Don’t delude yourself my dear, you’re naturally gifted.” Leila responded with a smile in the sing song voice of her elvish.
“You are so beautiful when you try to encourage me.” Gunrid smirked and stole a kiss from Leila’s small lips.
“I’m just telling you the truth.” Leila smiled switching back to common as well and stealing a second key from Gunrid’s belt. “You’re back for a while now right?” She asked hesitantly.
“I’m back, I’ll protect you.” Gunrid assured her and Leila pulled up the skirt she was wearing to get to the lock underneath. “Did anyone try?”
“Not since you split the skull of the last one who did.” Leila smiled as the lock made a small click and the armor protecting her maidenhood fell away. “It just feels safer… knowing they can’t try again.” She said in a low voice.
“Don’t worry.” Gunrid said wrapping her arms tightly around the elf. “I won’t let anyone hurt or use you.” She assured the slightly quivering elf. “Remember, its only till the winter raids right? Just stick it out till the winter raids and you’ll never have to see any other tusks than these 2 again.” She finished and proudly displayed her two tusks.
“I remember.” Leila giggled, kissing each of the tusks in turn. “I can handle it, as long as I know you’re coming home to me.”
“Always.” Gunrid assured her and just held the elf tightly until the slender woman wiggled out of her grasp. Leila got to her feet, the maidenhood armor and skirt slipping from her and leaving her almost naked and undeniably beautiful in the dim light of the tent.
“Come on you big sweetheart.” Leila smiled as she undid the last of her cloth, the piece that covered her chest. “Join me in the furs, let me welcome you home.” She held down a hand to Gunrid who took it and stuff, her own pants slipping off as she did so, more evidence of her lover’s deviously dexterous fingers.
Gunrid stepped in close and was just about to lift the elf off of her feet again when the slender woman wrapped a leg around her and placed a deep kiss on Gunrid’s lips. Gunrid’s strong hands found Leila’s ass and pulled her closer, feeling the moist hungry lips of her beautiful lover press against her own. Come winter she would make sure to get the two of them to a place where Leila wouldn’t have to worry about her safety, but for now all she could do was to treat her right and make sure their time together between raids was everything it could be.
