Abduction! Ch.1 [m+f] [mystery]

I try my hand at this story writing stuff. Tis’ my first story. Go easy on me. Im open to suggestions.

Somebody spilled some beer on me. I whip around to see a drunk teenager staring at me with wide eyes. “oh my God, i’m… i’m so sorry!” He managed to stammer under his drunken stupor. Idiot. I roll my eyes, and ignore him. He’s just a kid, after all. I decide it’s time to get some fresh air. I open the sliding glass door to an undisturbed wooden patio. As soon as i shut the sliding door, the loud music and the toxic smells ceased; in my mind at least. In reality, they were just muffled, but that was good enough for me. I was never the party type. I only came because my roommate Haley insisted, and wouldn’t quit bugging me about it. I can hear her nagging in my head still, but with the amount she nagged, i don’t think ill ever get it out of my head. I lean over the wooden patio railing, and sigh. My breath becomes a heavy vapor in front of me. I may complain about winter a lot, but tonight, I was thanking the cool Utah sky. I needed it to chill out. I hear the door open behind me, I swing around to see a hunk of a man coming out of the party. I remember seeing him chatting with his friends in the corner, and if i’m not mistaken, he kept glancing at me when he thought i wasn’t looking. “Well, hey there. Am i disturbing anything?” he politely asked. “No, no. Just trying to cool out for a second, you can join me if you would like” I reply. As he moved closer, I could finally see him clearly. He stood about 6’2, which trumped my small 5’6 stature. I had to strain my neck to meet his gaze. He was very muscular and built, with an extraordinary jaw line. “Glad i’m not interrupting anything” He chuckled. He leaned on the wooden railing of the patio, as i leaned over it. I could feel the railing leaning backwards from the weight of his body. It was intimidating, really. He reached in his pocket and pulled out a package of smokes. He glanced at me and saw me looking at him. He smiled and offered up the package to me. “Would you like one?” He asked. “No thank you, i don’t smoke” i said, shaking my head no. “More for me.” He said under his breath as he put a cigarette in his mouth. He took a deep breath, and exhaled, with the smoke drifting into the sky like a child’s balloon. “So, what brings you around here?” He said. I replied “Oh, my stupid roommate convinced me to come. I’m not really into parties myself.” “Shame, you have the body for a party girl.” He said quietly as he smoked his cigarette. I shake my head and look at him with a questioning look, “What the hell is that supposed to mean?” I say with a stern voice. “oh, don’t give me that look. You know, the party girl body! Skinny, perky tits, round ass, a solid eight out of ten!” I shake my head in disbelief. He was very forward with his feelings. “I guess I can take that as a compliment, but it’s definitely not true” I say to him. “Oh, quit being so humble… My name is Jake.” He said, looking at me with a smile. “What the hell happened there?” as he gestured to the beer stain on my jacket. I was so entranced by his looks, that I almost forgot that i had a giant beer stain. “Oh, just some drunk idiot accidentally spilled it on me earlier, it’s not a big deal” I said, as i gestured through the glass sliding door. “Which idiot? That Freshman right there?” He said. He was talking about the guy in the center of the room, dancing like any drunk white guy would. It was pretty obvious that the teenager he was pointing at would be the one to cause anyone trouble, because he looked very intoxicated. “Yeah. He was just dancing around and spilled it on me. It will wash out.” The look on his face immediately changed into a more stern look. He didn’t say anything, he just put out his cigarette on the wooden railing and started at a fast pace to walk inside. As I stared in disbelief, wondering to myself what the hell he was doing, as he pushed his way to the middle of the dancing crowd until he reached the intoxicated freshman. He then proceeded to put the freshman into a headlock and take advantage of the size difference by wrestling him to the door where i stood. The freshman didn’t put up much of a fight. Hell, I doubt he remembered his own name with how drunk he was. Jake forced him near me, and pulled his head and eyes up to look at me. “Say you’re sorry to the young lady” Jake said to the freshman. I stared in shock, i couldn’t move because i just couldn’t believe this was happening. I leaned left, to see past Jake and the now incapacitated freshman, and saw there was quite a few onlookers, staring at the spectacle in disbelief as i was. Most of the crowd was still dancing like there was no tomorrow, but the number of people staring kept growing because when you see someone staring, you would like to know what they’re staring at. “Say you’re sorry to the young lady” Jake repeated to the freshman, shaking him to keep him conscious. “I’m… skarrey” The freshman managed to slur out. “What the fuck are you trying to say, huh?” Jake said, as he tightened his grip on the freshman’s neck. “I’m… so… rry….” As the freshman choked the words out, he fumbled at Jake’s arm, trying to get him to loosen the grip on his neck. “That’s better” Jake exclaims as he throws the freshman down to the ground. The freshman breathes a sigh of relief, touching his now-sore throat. He looked up, and managed to figure out with what brain cells he had left, that he shouldn’t try to fight Jake. Jake had at least one hundred and fifty pounds on the poor kid. The freshman retreated past the onlookers, back into the party, where he believed he was safe with his alcohol. Jake had a smirk grin on his face as he walked back to me, as if to boast his accomplishment of redeeming his lady’s honor. He leaned against the railing again, and looked at me with the smirk grin still on his face. “So, i didn’t catch your name earlier.” “It’s Mia asshole, and get lost” I said as i pushed him away from me. The crowd was still gathering around the door, staring in disbelief of what just happened. I put my head down, and start trying to push my way through the crowd, trying to get away from this meat head. “wait.. wha…” i could hear him saying as I tried a fast paced walk away from him. What a creep. He thinks he can just put some poor kid in a head lock and impress me? He has got to be crazy! I quickly look for Haley in the party. Fearing Jake would soon try to follow me, I decides to head back to her dorm by myself. I didn’t have the time or patience to wait for her. Knowing Haley, she was probably in one of the rooms at the house party, with her feet behind her head. I rolled my eyes at that thought, and headed for the door. I passed the intoxicated freshman as i went for the front door, he was sitting on the couch, rubbing his sore throat. I was thankful a full on fight didn’t break out, even though it would have been over something stupid. I opened the front door to the house, and once again felt the cool Utah air on my face. I sighed heavily, because I knew I shouldn’t have come to this party, just like every other party I think about coming to. I then start my cool two mile journey back to my dorm room, where i could be in my own room in peace.
