I (M) reacted on my colleagues (F) wrong social media story

”NO, OH FUCK” I thought to my self! My heart sank and I was mortified. This is going to be really fucking awkward – how am going to play this off. SHIT, she is typing something!

I work in sales in a big corporate company and have a lot of joint accounts. So I work with a lot with different teams. In one of those teams is a great gal, Linda, with whom we clicked and always had a good time. Nothing flirty or such just good office banter. You know the kind. Of course, she is cute and is into fitness so she seemed to have tight body. I didn’t of it much since I was married. She had one of those smart watches which tracked everything and she often spoke about the benefits of the accumulated data. Anyways, time passed – we worked closely and started to follow each other on social media.

She would often update her story about her fitness (workout posts and what not) and her sleep cycle. She often posted that she had almost 9h of sleep and nearly a perfect “sleep” score on her watch. Now the thing is that I have a toddler, so being fully rested and uninterrupted sleep is out of the picture. Being sleep deprived also takes it toll on any relationship and there’s not much energy for intimacy in the marriage. Anyways, so once again Linda had a near perfect sleep score and I thought “I’ll like it with a 🔥 reaction and write: that’s some luxury which I don’t have 😅”. Well I fucked up. I was about to hit the reaction but the story chanced to the next picture where she was wearing a somewhat revealing bathrobe with a caption of something like “exhausted of a workout but I feel gooood”. Caught off guard and still not thinking clearly I hit the flame reaction on that picture…

She was online and typing – I was paralyzed. Would it now be awkward at the office? To my surprise she wrote “Like what you see Dave 😜?”. Okay maybe this can be played off – I’ll explain what happened and we can laugh about it at the office. So I responded something about “I was clumsy and meant to react on the previous story and that’s what sleep deprivation does to you haha 😅”. Great this can be salvaged, I thought happily to myself. “So, you didn’t like what you saw?…” WHAT?! Fuck. Okay, this is just banter – she gets it, she’s teasing “hah, I mean sure! Looking good – I can only imagine how beat you must be. Nothing better than kicking it after a good workout💪🏻”. Perfect – crisis averted. She wrote back. “Lol Dave, you prude. I know what you thought. It’s all good fun and tongue in cheek”. She followed up with two pictures. On of her mouth open and tongue out and another where she lifted her robe ever so slightly to reveal som asscheek. “Night Dave, enjoy the pics and see you at the office 😜. I need to get my near perfect sleep score”.

My mind was racing. The fuck just happened. Just. What. At the same time I felt how I was stiff and throbbing. I couldn’t sleep just yet. It was all just banter… Right?
