I literally make a sandwich and that’s it [M][Str8]

My eyes opened, but everything was still black. I rolled over in bed and checked my phone to see what time it was. 3:15. I had to get up at 7 for school. I tried to go back to bed but my stomach had other ideas. It kicked into gear and started grumbling. There was no going back now.

I got up, put on my robe and went to the kitchen. “Now let’s see, what’s a good 3AM snack?” I thought. I opened the fridge to see what there was. My mind was already set on a delicious BLT sandwich. I grabbed a head of lettuce and a tomato and closed the fucking fridge. I got a knife and cutting board and sliced up the tomato. I tore off a leaf of lettuce.

Then I put both back in the fridge and got out a pack of pre-cooked bacon. Home cooked is way better, but I’m not gonna fry bacon while my parents are asleep. I also got the jar of mayo. I looked in the breadbox for some bread, but couldn’t find any.

So I checked the cupboard. Nothing. The only other place bread could be was the pantry. But that was across the hall, and the floorboards are creaky. So with extreme caution, i tiptoed over to the pantry door.

There was a loud creak, then I stopped. I waited a few seconds. Parents were still asleep. Whew. I went a bit further and managed to open the pantry. Inside was a full loaf of white bread, just for me!

I was so excited I grabbed the loaf and ran back to the kitchen, making several creaks on the floorboards. I took out two slices of bread and spread a thin layer of mayo on them. Then i assembled my sandwich. Bacon first, 3 strips horizontal and 3 strips vertical. Tomatoes next, 2 slices overlapping each other. Lastly the lettuce, placed on top.

Not even with a plate, I sat in the dark kitchen and enjoyed my snack. The soft bread was like fluffy clouds. The savoury bacon was so salty and crispy. The crunchy lettuce and sour tomatoes completed the wonderful taste. I devoured the delicious sandwich and licked my fingers clean of mayo and some juices from the tomato.

Then I went back to bed.
