Hi all, I just joined the community but have been reading stories for a while now. I had a question though, in many of the stories you all post, penis size is mentioned. Often times larger dicks are painted in a good light and smaller dicks painted in a more negative light? I was wondering who you personally believe that benefits? Are you writing with men in mind or women? So I ask you, if you’ve mentioned penis size in your story, who was your intended audience?

One thing that takes readers right out of a story, in my opinion, is the screeching halt of explicit sizing. I mean, did he stop to read the label on her bra to see that those are in fact 42DD? Did she pull out a pocket tape measure to verify — “yep! Got me a 9 incher right here!”?
There are times when sizes are part of the story, but bringing it in naturally generally works better than spelling it out.
With regard to larger or smaller penis size, if the size is mentioned, it’s as a plot point (and in erotica, a penis is quite often a point in the plot) and it’s rare to make a point of something being average. It’s like Chekov’s old saw about stage plays: if you show a gun in the first act, you need to fire the gun in the next. And if you’re talking about penis size, there just aren’t that many times where you can have her going on about how his three inch wiener is so much better than her husband’s eleven inch trouser python.
